Day in Jackson Hole, WY

Yesterday, we found the weather cold and snowy. So no Yellowstone for us yesterday (south gate closed). We did find these new home designs at the RV park, they are actually billed as RV (recreational vehicles). Under the steel girding on the bottom are wheels. So they can be moved any where. 399 sq feet of scandinavian design selling for around 90K. For the perfect piece of land, this is such a great alternative to breaking ground and pouring concrete. www.wheelhaus.com

The wheel haus's were unlocked and up for the picking. They rent in the peak season here for 400 dollars a night. Jay Jay and I did a little breaking and entering to scope them out. Then we stopped in the office to pay our nightly fee for the RV. Jay Jay says "wow, those houses are so neat". So the owner says, hey, they are all unlocked, why don't you and your mom go ahead and go through one. That kind of took the cool out of our sneaking around sails, but we took a longer more luxurious tour. As long and luxurious a tour you can take of a 399 sq ft. home

We did find Dolce in Jackson who made doughnuts to order. The kids thought it was a dream come true. It made their journals.

No Harrison Ford spotting. Jay rounded corner in the libary book fair and our cobalt blue glass pie dish, filled with apples, come crashing to the floor. Into a bazillion peices. Jay shared a few of his favorite words and I think may have had few choice ones I haven't said in a while as well.

Did I mention that the weather was crap? Big Jay is getting cold, a little one. The kind you treat at Walgreens, so we had to power talk it about why we needed to try over the counter cold remedies before heading to the ER. He is reluctant to trust me after I misdiagnosed his raging pnuemnoia for the swine flu two years ago.

The drivers side window sprung a leak.

After checking out Teton Village, Jay wanted to go out for BBQ and the kids I vetoed that in favor of making tacos on the bus.

Talk about a total wipe out.

We did score at the book fair, 12 books for a dollar and it was a frenzy! We stocked up on a few dozen reads for the roads.
I am starting the Nanny Diaries tonight.

As sort of the capstone to our great day, Jay and I decided to try something new and fun in bed tonight after the kids were asleep. Streaming missed episodes of CSI. 43 minutes of uninterupted TV while the kids snoozed. It's been too long.
